Give Water, Save Lives

Give Water, Save Lives

“The best charity is providing drinking water to the needy.” (Ahmad)

Imagine a life plagued by a lack of water, where abnormalities in climate leads to on-going drought, failed crops and livestock deaths. This is the daily reality for thousands of people who face severe clean water shortages across the entire continent of Africa. With your assistance, Be a Mercy Foundation hopes to eliminate this crisis by building one deep water well at a time in every remote village of the following countries: Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo. With your support this vision can gradually become a reality, God willing.

The wells that are being built have a reservoir, large tank to store water, and irrigation for farming, giving life to vegetation and grazing of animals. In the long term, vegetation will become a means of sustenance, and grazing animals will allow for opportunities of trade creating an income which will pay for educational costs in the future. The cost of building one such well, is at a cost of $10,000 USD. Occasionally, Be a Mercy Foundation builds small pump wells in various villages across West Africa that costs upwards of $4,000.
